Welcome to Probably Awesome Studios! We’re a writer/artist team who make ridiculous things and try to trick people into liking them. Our main project right now is Quack Arena, a story driven comic set around characters we both made up before joining forces. On this site you can expect to find updates on how things are going, as well as behind the scenes looks at the process, and other crazy things we think belong on the internet. The next paragraph, for instance, relates to the current goings on here at the studio.

A new feature you might enjoy is the Quack City Journal. It chronicals the time period after the four original heroes get together to where the story picks up in the comic. This time period isn't going to be covered in comic form, so I thought it'd be fun to throw something out there to show what went down. Spoiler alert: A whole damn lot went down.

Conflict of Interests: on hold.

Zach Spivey: Artist, Co-Writer

He was a life long artist, self-proclaimed wise-ass and agent provocature. He wrote a short story about a gorilla a few years ago who becomes a police detective along with his partner. He decided he'd make it into a webcomic. Independantly he created these other, odd little characters with no other place to go than the webcomic. The only problem was he knew nothing of setting up websites.

Then through a friend he found out about a writer with a website who needed an artist for a project; so he became a Lewis to his Clark, a Laurel to his Hardy, a guy with a pencil what makes pictures with it to that guy with a website that writes things to put on it. Anyways, that project was put on hold. That guy with a website that writes things to put on it,well, let's call him Ian. Anyways, Ian had a webcomic already that had established characters in a city setting. Ian thought about these other characters and he thought about his own comic and then these other characters and then his own comic some more until he had to be poked with a stick so everyone else could get to the Cheetoes. The point is, Ian realized they could fit together. Thus, the new Quack Arena was born!

Ian Cobb: Head Writer, Colorist

Ian started the web comic Quack Arena with a few friends a number of years back. While the comic never got really off the ground he learned a lot about the process during that time. His relationship with the artist was much the same then as now. He’d discuss the strip with the artist, script it out, then color and word it after Rick had drawn it. The process is the same today, but the job is much more complex. Ianj is currently working with Zach on The Quack Arena, a story drivien version of his original comic which meshes his characters with a few of Zach's.

“This is going to be awesome. Probably...” -Ian
